Roles and Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement
- Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers for composite/Metal materials and components
- Negotiate pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Material Selection and Evaluation
- Collaborate with the engineering and R&D teams to select suitable composite/Metals materials for various projects.
- Evaluation to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in composite/Metal materials and recommend relevant updates to our product offerings.
Quality Control and Compliance
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to address any issues related to purchased materials.
Product Development
- Participate in the development and improvement of composite/metals-based products.
Cost Analysis and Budget Management
- Analyze costs associated with composite/Metal materials and components, seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Assist in budget planning and adherence, ensuring that material procurement aligns with project budgets.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of supplier interactions, purchase orders, and material specifications.
- Generate reports on material costs, supplier performance, and project progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in purchasing and sourcing composite/Metal materials, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of composite materials, their properties, and applications.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to composites/Metals.
