Who we are:
We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in development of next generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) towards future warfare needs of the Indian defence forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms. NRT’s product development portfolio includes a solar power stratospheric high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) unmanned platform and an air/ground launched stand-off autonomous system.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide system-level solution design expertise and leadership.
- Develop systems integration plan and drive cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification, validation and commissioning of air vehicles.
- Drive system architecture, design, implementation, and full software development life cycle.
- Drive trade studies, prototype creation, simulation for critical design concepts.
- Derive test requirements from customer and system specifications requirements.
- Oversee and manage requirements tracking.
- Review verification and validation procedures to ensure system will perform as specified to meet customer and system requirements.
- Review test engineering artifacts like design documents, test plan, user manual and related documents.
- Support failure investigation by identifying root cause and develop corrective action for manufacturing and customer level systems integration and test failures.
- Communicate technical issues through written, verbal and presentation media
- Share best practices in systems engineering across the engineering organization and drive implementation of latest industrial trends
Skills and EducationMust have:
- Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
- 06-10 years in hands-on design work, integration and testing of aircraft systems.
- Demonstrable experience in avionics systems engineering life cycle activities, Review of system and design specifications, assembly, integration, test procedures etc.
- Hands-on technical experience in both software and hardware engineering; embedded hardware preferred.
- Hands-on in Linux, RTOS programming.
- Hands-on in HIL bench setup, testing of avionics (FCS, Electrical Systems, Mission Systems), MILBUS/CAN/ARINC based systems testing etc.
- Knowledge of aviation certification standards such as DO-178C, DO-254 etc.
- Good understanding of interface protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, CAN,
MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429 etc
Good to have
- Masters Degree in Engineering with a focus in Aero-systems is preferred
- Knowledge of aircraft and rotorcraft Aerosystems

- Capable to learn new skills rapidly with minimal oversight
